Your Details Stay Out Of The Mosh Pit

Dangerous Cheese collects only what is needed to answer booking inquiries or provide the fan updates you explicitly request. We do not sell personal information.

Booking inquiries

When you contact Dangerous Cheese, we use the name, email address, phone number, message, and consent choice you provide only to answer your inquiry, discuss availability, and handle any resulting booking conversation. Sending an inquiry does not add you to a marketing list.

Cheezies fan list

When you choose to join the Cheezies fan list, we use your email address and city to send nearby show alerts and occasional band updates. Your first name, province or state, interests, and travel radius are optional. You must confirm through the email we send before the subscription becomes active.

Fan guestbook and photos

If you sign the guestbook, we receive the display name, general location, message, optional photo, and publication consent you submit. The server adds the submission time. Every entry stays private until the band approves it. Unreviewed entries are removed after 30 days. Rejected photos are removed during moderation and rejected text entries are removed after 7 days. Approved entries remain visible until Dangerous Cheese or the contributor asks for removal. Photos are resized and converted to WebP in your browser, then container-checked before decoding and re-encoded by the server before storage to remove ordinary camera metadata and reject malformed files. Do not submit private addresses, contact details, or photos you do not have permission to share.

Service providers

When direct booking delivery has been receipt-tested and enabled, booking forms pass through a Dangerous Cheese service hosted on Cloudflare, which validates and rate-limits the request before Brevo delivers it to the booking inbox. Until then, the form prepares an email for you to send from your own email app. Cheezies signups also pass through the Cloudflare service before Brevo handles double opt-in and email delivery. Cloudflare operates the first-party analytics and guestbook service, provides coarse request-location metadata, stores aggregate counts and moderated guestbook content, and applies infrastructure security. Providers receive only the information needed to provide those services and operate under their own privacy and security terms.

Retention and choices

Booking details are kept only as long as reasonably needed to answer the inquiry, administer a booking, meet record-keeping obligations, or resolve a dispute. Fan-list details remain active until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove them. Every marketing email must provide an unsubscribe link. Aggregate website statistics and keyed daily session hashes are retained for up to 365 days. Keyed anti-abuse records derived from a request IP address are retained for up to one day; they are used only for rate limiting and do not contain the raw address. You may ask us to remove an approved guestbook entry or fan photo.

Optional media and external links

The showreel does not contact YouTube until you choose to play it. After activation, YouTube may process technical information under its own privacy terms. Links to social platforms and other external sites are governed by those sites.

Privacy-conscious first-party measurement

The production site sends first-party page visits, allowlisted actions, performance measurements, allowlisted page paths, referrer domains, and coarse device, browser, and operating-system categories to a Dangerous Cheese service hosted on Cloudflare. Cloudflare supplies the visitor country from request metadata so the band can see aggregate country totals and a world map. For Canadian and U.S. visits only, the service stores aggregate province, territory, or state codes; it does not store cities, postal codes, coordinates, or street-level locations. The system does not store raw IP addresses, precise locations, advertising identifiers, full referrer URLs, or cross-site profiles. A random identifier exists only for the current browser-tab session so daily sessions can be counted; the server stores only a secret-keyed hash that changes by day. No analytics cookies are used. Measurement is skipped when the browser sends Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track. Internal booking links may include a plain source label so booking-intent clicks can be compared; these clicks are not counted as completed bookings.
